A pleasant mid-December morning--temperatures in the low-forties, clear skies and a soft breeze out of the East. The course, which was extremely well marked with cones and flour arrows, was a fifty-fifty mix of paved residential streets and dirt trails, the latter offering rolling hills and colorful views of the mountains. A festive post-predict potluck was enjoyed by all.
Runners predicted their own finishing time prior to the start of the race and were not allowed to wear watches during the run. The runner finishing closest to his/her predicted time was the winner.
