Bike Tour Returns to Pueblo

8:30 am ~43 miles

This upcoming fall will bring with it a new tour ride for Pueblo sponsored by the Pueblo Child Advocacy Center. The ride will feature people of all different abilities, so don’t be afraid to come out and join us no matter how little or how much experience you have.

The ride is to raise money for the rapidly growing Child Advocacy Center. Improved Center funding is critical to better serve the children who are in need.

The Child Advocacy Center: For those not familiar with the Child Advocacy Center and its workings here is a little information. The Child Advocacy Center is a homelike environment where child victims of abuse and sexual assault cases can be cared for by medical personnel and a wonderful staff. The Center also does a great job of aiding law enforcement with the interviewing of these children. The children have already experienced some sort of trauma and the Center takes time and care to ease some of that pain. Large governmental type buildings can be frightening and can make interviewing and case building that much more difficult so the setting at the CAC is a very helpful alternative.

Ride Route: The ride will start at Pueblo Regency Shopping Center (the old Hastings), go out to Beulah and return. It will give riders an opportunity to view some of the historical scenery in Pueblo and some of the mountain scenery of the Wet Mountain Range. Maps and more details, such as cost, will be coming soon.

We strongly encourage all of you to come out for a good time and a great cause.
