South Shore Adventure #2: Outer Limits Loop Prediction Run

Overcast skies and an unofficial temperature of 58 greeted the 23 runners who turned out for the 7:30 am start. The course covered all or parts of three different trails–Pedro’s Point, Outer Limits and Pronghorn. The twists and turns on Outer Limits, which runs along the edge of the rim rock above the reservoir, demanded the full attention of runners, slowing their pace and limiting their opportunities to enjoy the scenery.

Runners predicted their own finishing time prior to the start of the race and were not not allowed to wear watches during the run. The runner finishing closest to his/her predicted time was the winner.
