Tunnel Drive Prediction Run

Tunnel Drive Prediction Run
8/26/2006 – 3.5 Miles
Race #7 of the 2006 Prediction Series
As reported by Don Pfost

Showing up for the 7:30 am start, the largest turnout so far this season for a predict run was greeted by misty, damp, cool weather. The course was shortened from 5 miles to 3.5 miles because of hazardous conditions–a partial washout of the road leading up to the tunnels, plus rock and mud slides on the upper trail–caused by a torrential downpour in Canon City the night before the race.

Runners predicted their own finishing time prior to the start of the race and were not allowed to wear watches during the run. The runner finishing closest to his/her predicted time was the winner.
