Cheers to a new year and new mistakes! Here are a few SCR Reminders…
It looks like nice weather for our 1st Raffle Run of 2025, the Chile Willy, Sat, Jan 4, 2025. It’s about a 5K run or 2M run/walk, which begins at the Mesa Junction home of Alexandria and Patrick Romero, 201 Jackson, SW corner of Jackson and Evans. The run starts at their home, heads to the Riverwalk via Union, does a loop of the Riverwalk, including Lake Victoria, then back up Union, the way you came. This is a potluck so bring a brunch item to share. Hope to see you there. Remember, if you run 6 or more Raffle Runs in 2025 you will earn your free SCR shirt.

Annual SCR Awards Banquet, Saturday, January 25, 2025, 5:00-10:00 p.m. Brues Alehouse, 120 E Riverwalk, Cost: Adults $15, 14 and under FREE. Registration closes Friday, Jan 24, 2025. Menu/ more info HERE. We plan to award Raffle Run Shirts at the Banquet to every one who earned one in 2024.
Nominations for SCR Awards Due by 12/31/2024
It’s time to recognize our fellow members at our Awards Banquet on January 25th but first we need nominations. Below are the categories for the awards. Please think of someone who is deserving of an award and nominate them by sending Paul Hindman an email at vicepresident@socorunners.org Just let him know for which award you are nominating. You don’t need to nominate in every category, do only one or as many as you like, and the description can be short or long. Visit HERE for award descriptions.
