At the bottom of this email is a list of our all runs for 2026 with the dates I have. Some of the Raffle Run dates are a long way away, so it’s possible they could change, things happen, but here are the dates for now.
The Ordinary Mortals Duathlon will not be held in 2026. They are having problems finding a suitable location. Hopefully, it will return in 2027.
Our next Raffle Run/Walk and the first of 2026, will be Roger Giordano’s Trail run. It’s the South Shore Raffle Run, to be held on Sat, March 21, 2026, 9am. It’s a 3.9M run or 1.8M run/walk. Map of start location HERE.
FYI: The SCR Raffle Runs are a series of 12 run/walks spread throughout the year. They are called Raffle Runs because a raffle prize is given at each event. You must be present and be an SCR member to win. The run/walks are FREE and are fun social group runs which vary in distance with no timing. We have various start locations, like Lake Pueblo Trails, Colorado City, Pueblo West, Riverwalk, Pueblo Mtn Park in Beulah and several locations in Pueblo. Everyone is welcome and you may run/walk shorter or longer if you like. We will have two distances, one longer and one shorter. You may start early but courses might not be marked yet. Some races end with an optional breakfast potluck and some runs will have all refreshments provided. Either way, plan to stick around and enjoy the company of other members. Get your raffle ticket and sign in, we will keep track of how many events you do and if you participate in at least 6 out of 12 events in 2026, you will earn an award (a very nice award but 2026 is TBD) at our Banquet in 2027.
Raffle Run Hosts I make many mistakes, in fact, I’m quite good at it, so please check your run information on the calendar at the bottom of this email and on our web page (https://socorunners.org/raffle-runs/) and the SCR calendar (https://socorunners.org/calendar/) to make sure the details are correct…like name of your run, date, start time, start location and distances. If you need to change anything, let me know. Feel free to re-write your race description and send your re-write to me at calendar@socorunners.org and I will update.
Finally, if anyone has a favorite or fun run in Colorado, let me know, I’m always looking for interesting runs for the calendar.
