Greetings SCR Members,
A couple of updates and reminders.
First, the November Newsletter issue is coming up and that means it’s time to send in your articles and photographs to editor Ron Dehn scrfootprints@gmail.com . Ron asks you to share something that you have experienced lately or reflect on a memory from the past. Photos of your travels are always welcome. The official deadline is October 20 but since support and access for Microsoft Publisher ended on October 1, the Newsletter may be delayed as Ron experiments with new software. The club may be looking to purchase new software so if you have any suggestions I’m sure Ron would like to hear them.

Our next Raffle Run will be the
40th Annual Harvest Run
Date: Saturday, Oct 24, 2026
Time: 2:00 pm Run/Walk
2:30 pm Beer and Tacos
Location: Gold Dust Saloon back patio
Distance: 3 mile & 1.5 mile
Once again we will meet on the back patio of the Gold Dust Saloon. After the run/walk plan to stay for a FREE Taco Bar, beer and lemonade. Vegan options will be available. Free for members and families. If you don’t like to run in the afternoon (I’m a morning runner myself) come anyway and walk around the Riverwalk, then stay for an afternoon of camaraderie with fellow members. Run/Walk start at 2pm…Beer and Tacos start at 2:30
Dia de los Muertos

Time: 3 pm NEW START TIME!
Location: Roselawn Cemetery 1706 Roselawn Rd, Pueblo, CO 81006
Distance: 3 mile & 1.5 mile
Host: Joe Spinuzzi
Join us at the Roselawn Cemetery 1706 Roselawn Rd, for a FREE dia de los Muertos celebration. Race director Joe Spinuzzi would like to encourage runners to have some fun and dress up in Dia de Los Muertos attire; costume, face paint, etc (but optional) Potluck to follow. The run/walk will start 1 hour earlier this year at 3pm due to events at cemetery. Be there 2:30-2:45 PM to sign in.
