Something New, Fun and Free

Greetings SCR Club Members,

Club member and Raffle Run host, Sean McGivney, is planning something new, fun and free.   The  “Backyard Ultra” will be held Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 7:00 am starting/ending in the Pueblo Nature Center parking lot. Runners will do a 4.2 mile loop course and run as many loops as they want (or can). 85% off pavement

Sean says, we are going to start running at 7:00 am.  Then do another loop at 8am, and again at 9am, every hour on the hour for as long as we can.  If you can’t make it at 7:00, just come when you can and jump in; someone will still be running.  Come see how many laps you can complete!

The event is free but bring your own water, gels, gatorade or whatever you may need. This run will take place 2 weeks (actually 15 days) before the Rock Canyon Half so it will make a nice last long run. Come do 4.2 miles, 8.4, 12.6, 16.8 or who knows… Sean and friends plan to be there all day (or as long as they can).

• If you’ve already registered for the Hot to Trot 5K 10K  , (Sun, Sep 20, 8am) good luck, if not there is still time but hurry, online registration closes Sun, Sep 13 at  midnight.
• The Beulah Challenge (Sat, Sept 19, 2026) has offered a 20% discount for club members When you register just use the code PPRR26 and save 20%.
• Don’t forget our friends in Cañon City, the Rim to Rim, 5K, 8M, ½ Marathon (Sa, Oct 3)
•  Two non-SCR additions to the calendar, the Lions Roar (Sa,Oct 10) and the Hero Run (Sa, Oct 17) will both be held at Minnequa Lake
